About This Site: You may be wondering what would motivate a person to have a site dedicated to what may seem to be a defense of pedophilia. There is in fact nothing in this site that does that. This site is about opposing the hysteria that is ruining the lives of those who offend and those who are falsely accused by giving a clear understanding of the problem of pedophilia and related issues. As you may have guessed, I was convicted of child sexual abuse - three misdemeanor counts of child annoyance and molestation in California in 1997. I feel I was wrongfully convicted and that the acts were so minor that even if guilty, could not have possibly warranted the damage that I have suffered. I served six months in L.A. County Jail, lost my California teaching credentials, and am disallowed from teaching at community colleges. During my incarceration I was beaten; another very kind and gentle Christian inmate whom I befriended was also beaten, and yet another inmate, whom I did not know, but who was held in a nearby area was beaten to death. People often say molesters deserve to be beaten, but such people just don't understand that few inmates, particularly at a county jail, are actual child or adult rapists. These are misdemeanor offenders, or in some cases felons on their way to prison; but even among that group there are few out-and-out rapists. Even beating the worst of the lot is still wrong because it's vigilantism and a crime in itself. I call this site Pedophileophobia which means an irrational fear of pedophiles and more generally pedophilia. An "irrational fear" is the operative phrase here. People have a right to have a degree of fear and respond appropriately, but irrational fear is just that - it's fear not justified by the actual circumstances. This condition of "pedophileophobia" appears to have begun in the U.S. with the Kern County and McMartin Daycare child abuse cases -- in which all convictions were overturned (there were no convictions at all in the McMartin case).I give a full account of my story in a separate section called My Case..
